Why wasting time? When it's clear a player is gonna win, better give up and say gg, it all goes faster and it still results into a win. If there is the button "give up", I don't see why one should be penalized for using it.I clearly voted against this.

I don't get it. Resigning isn't done out of spite and it doesn't ruin the other person's chance to win fairly. If you played well enough to put your opponent into a position where they felt that they had lost and so they resigned, then you already won fairly. Why do you feel that something has been ruined?

Normally, resigning in a losing position is considered polite, not rude.
