Not too surprised about the patch coming up. I sent a PM to flyingchocolate1 (forum name is Laserdonut, I think; too lazy to go back and look at the thread again, but I did notice that his post count is 1, so that doesn't exactly bode well). If there is no response, I'm going to say that Coolio should be allowed to find a replacement for him on account of extenuating circumstances.

You can if you want to, but if he's not going to play, then I don't really want him forfeiting every match in every phase of the tournament. His opponents will be getting a default of 1 point for those matches since they can't exactly spawn three Brambles on Turn 1. This is especially bad on 2v2 matches, since the winner would get 3 points when 19 were possible.
So you would only get 1 point for this default win, whereas winning a game for realzies could earn you 7! I'd like to give Coolio the chance to find a replacement. If FireAaron8 remains inactive also, then I suppose uvafan will also be given that same courtesy. Seems to me inactive players are kind of an inevitable thing with tournaments like this. Gotta roll with the punches I guess. If you don't get my jokes, it's because of Postmodernism. |
