Mods are meant to keep peace and lock innapropriate threads. I've not seen a breach of either of these, so I don't think there will ever need to be mods
 after all the community isn't very big (well, in comparison to forums with mods)

its just that i dont think its too much work to assign someone to be a mod compared to the help it may bring. and also i dont think you have to pay mods? i think the privileges and being trusted would be more than enough.

I agree, mods aren't supposed to be payed. But a forum doesn't need size to need a mod. I know a forum with about 14 active members (if you don't count the admins) that has a mod.

I dislike giving out moderator privileges as a badge of prestige even though I've been on the receiving side of that once. In the end, it's a decision that the hosts/owners of any given forum need to make.
