That would be a great advantage for DL. So, I'll keep the grand final as a decissive round and that's it. That's the main difference between Upper/Lower system and this system, as it were.

Most matches shall be set from the begining in each clan war threads. There will be a timelimit to set them. If the leader doesn't set the matches they will be set "randomly". If the leader dissapears or there are too many players inactive, they shouldn't have signed up then and that clan might be kicked. We need active leaders and 5 active members at least. If they can't, so they aren't clan. I was actually thinking of something like that, but someone might change their roster after having seen the opponent's clan roster.
Matches will for sure be minimized. I liked most of your ideas.

Furrysox, if you are a member of Anonymous, set the logo team as Display Image. Go to your USER CP, tap on "Group Membership". Look for "Anonymous clan" and tap on "Set as Display Image".
And.. It seems there is a new bug that doesn't allow you to send private messages. I hope they fix it soon.

The tournament starts when all matches are set. The threads for each clan war will be created before Saturday (next week). Signups will be closed by Tuesday. Once the threads are created, each leader will set the matches in accord with the opponent leader in those threads. In each thread will appears indications to follow and some rules to remembers. Hopefully the tournament might start around August 27. It'll depend on how fast the leaders set their matches. But once they do, all we have to do is play all matches.
I'll try to post the clan-war threads as soon as possible so each clan leader can set the matches as quickly as possible. If I have enough time, I'll publish them by Wednesday or Thursday. Anyway I said before Saturday as a limit so the participants may be aware
