I should totally ban Adam for posting such news! :O

I just pondered if that Outwitters by Web idea I had earlier would make all that possible but then I figured there's no drawn animations nor sound effects.

For what? The games already out.
Outwitters 2?

Outwitters 2?

No for future games. Just because I'm sure their financial troubles with Outwitters set them back, and I don't want lack of funding to prevent them from creating great game content. Kickstarter is a great option for indie developers.

Oh my god these teams are so astonishing oO

I'm really sad to hear outwitters won't benefit of any content update now.. I guess this is an economical reason?

Alex and adam, if we find a way (donation pool for exemple) to make outwitters economicaly viable, could you continue to work on it? Or is it really a lost cause? Knowing these teams won't come out and that new awesome maps won't be on the server are making me quite sad. Sad

I just want to offer again, having done start up consulting work in the past, to take a look at financials and monetization strategies if A&A are ever interested.
They/you've probably already gone over everything to death, but an independent set of eyes can be helpful.
This offer is pro bono, obviously.

So no more seasons either?

I would assume that stuff is automated or so trivial as to be essentially so.
I think the take away is that the game is more or less locked with regard to new content, but otherwise secure. Some bug fixes or balance tweaks may continue to be had (but if they start focusing on new projects those are likely to be much less frequent).

That would be disappointing...

Ooh that sounds like a good idea, dunno if it'd work out though (kick starter)

I hope the infrastructure remains serviced so that the community can continue to thrive... And keep the chance alive that new content may be added at a later point in time.
