As some of you may know, I have been less than active for the past few weeks, and this is due to my busy busy schedule. Now, I’m sure we all have busy schedules, but mine just means I won’t be able to post on the forums for a while. Or play very many games, either.

This game is great and highly recommended by me, the most beloved member of the Noldor race. Auro is a single player hex-based procedurally generated tactical positioning and bumping game. Carefully plan your movements and cast spells to help Prince Auro bump monsters into the water and earn points.

The art is beautiful. The music is beautiful. The gameplay is super awesome!

Sadly, it is only available on Android at the present moment, but the iOS version is coming soon (and apparently additional platforms after that, too)! I think this game is very fun. I don't know if there are any fans of abstract strategy board games around here, but this app is a solid implementation of this game. There is even a well-implemented AI that adjusts to your skill level.

The game was designed by Nick Bentley, a cool game designer whose page is here. His Catchup page is here.

The app just came out recently so matchmaking doesn't really happen, and as far as I know there are no leaderboards or anything, but it might nevertheless be fun to play some friendly games against each other. So far I've just played the AI up to about level 9 or 10 but I have no idea how many AI levels there are. Probably many, many more. Confused]]> iTunes Link
