id like for the story to include the adorables to be communist with a freedom fighting party vieing for control and of course freedom.
the adorables only look happy, they are really sad on the inside under communist rule, giving them conscription and forcing them to live with nearly notbhing as the great (korean) cat overlord demands almost everything they have through tax, leavingg the people dirt poor.

i also think mabey that
scallywags were shuned from society, and as such had to be adapted to living on land instead of the great under sea city(ies). even after the shunning and the revolutions the scallywags met, this expelled pirate faction excells in supplying resources found in the abovre world to the other factions, outside of these wars.

i also think genectic modification and the robots being engineered by a race- possibly the game keeper(NPC with axe) could have set it all up from his mastermind dimension.
or that humans either went extinct, were testing and modifing creatures, built robots until the disaster. there are now few humans left, in places far from the setting of outwitters, in distant planets and in space. some humans bred with such genectically modified creatures after the collaapse(event that wiped ot empire, virus, robots, war, catashrophe) and after time became these creatures, with the robots feeding and destroying worlds, the sad hopeless controlled adorables fighting the government and being conscriped to war, the expelled mercinarry scally wags defending territories when the cruel adorable government attacked and the exoctic plants in the karethiki jungles rarely seen.
