Top team from each division, 4 divisions in each conference (AFC and NFC). Then an additional 2 teams from each conference, the two teams with the best records. In the event of ties, there's an order to the tiebreakers, but I don't remember what they are. But they include head-to-head, record in conference, etc. Also things like point differential, but they wouldn't really apply here
