RE: Species Specific Tournament
I am confused, if you lose, are you no longer able to spawn units in later rounds, or is the other person able to spawn units that you gathered, and you keep yours?

RE: Species Specific Tournament
I'm in the tourney, sounds fun but a little long to read. Let me understand, is it:

Choose 3 units,
Each game you gain/lose 2 units depending on if you win and lose,
Only 1 spawn per game unless you choose the Mobi or Medic
You don't have to state which of your 3 units you will spawn
Right?

Necrocat219
Super Titan

If these are conditions I think I choose:
Veggienaught Bramble
Veggienaught Medic
Adorable Mobi

Top 200 peak ranking: #18 Super-Titan

I'm currently taking a competative break. Am up for friendlies and tournaments!

1. Bombshell

So our choices go into a pool and we get assigned troops?

Careful, man, there's a beverage here!

The way I interpreted it was that each player chooses their top 3 choices, and since there are 24 units and 24 players, each player gets assigned one unit based on their preferences, and everybody gets a different unit. So you start by "owning" one unit.

During games, you can spawn any of the units you own, as many times you want. So if you own an adorables soldier, mobi, and scally runner, you could for instance play as adorables and spawn 5 soldiers and 2 mobis. But you can't spawn a runner as the runner you own is a scally runner.

At the end of the game, the winner chooses one unit to "steal" from the loser, and the loser subsequently loses use of that unit. If you no longer own any units, you can play one more match, but you can't spawn any units. You would probably want to do this as a 2v2. If you lose that one, you are kicked out of the tournament.

AttackBomb, you may want to post this simpler explanation on the original post. Some questions I have:
Is there anything to gain in beating a player with no units left?
I am not sure how exactly the challenge system for determining matchups works. Could you elaborate?

RIP, these forums

RE: Species Specific Tournament
This is an interesting idea, but wouldn't it be really unfair if a player was given runners, and the other player given soldier?

RE: Species Specific Tournament
That's the thing though, based on which unit you start with, you pick your opponent whose unit you think you can beat and therefore steal. So if you had runners you might want to challenge someone who has, say, snipers, which then might be useful against someone who has soldiers or heavies. You also want to try to complete armies at the same time. If you have Veggie runner, it makes more sense to challenge whoever has Veggie sniper than to challenge the player with Feedback sniper; then, you could play as Veggies with both runners and snipers.
