Here might be an option if we want to defer a scrambler:

1. runner to I3 (1)
2. kill runner with heavy (0)
3. spawn sniper and move to H6 (4)

We could kill the 3hp soldier on the next turn and heal the medic with a new medic. It is highly unlikely they would see the sniper to kill it with what we think is a runner on F2 or G2.

They still can kill the converted runner, heavy, and scrambler. Right?

I did think of moving runner to I3, but it will be a bit risky to have sniper on H6 if there runner on F2.
I agree to have sniper if no runner there. If runner is there,
I suggest to spawn a medic to J4 and heal the soldier

To get to the scrambler, they'd have to kill both runners (on F6 and G5) to access the heavy, then the heavy, and finally use the supposed runner on F2 (or G2) to kill the scrambler. But, they don't have another unit to kill the 2nd runner without using the one on F2/G2 (that we think could be there).

Let's say we did the scrambling move I suggested: 1hp runners on F6/F5, heavy on G6, and scrambler on H6. What is there best move assuming they spawned the perfect unit last turn (with perfect placement)? How can we respond?

Oh yes, I missed the F6 runner. I think it is the best move if we go for the scrambler. So, shall I remove the option of moving runner to I3?

So, we move the runner to G5 first!

Any other suggestions are still welcome. Thx!

They moved a new created runner to F2 where exactly what we thought.

I think we should scramble the runner. Here are a couple options:

1. scramble from H6. G6 runner -> F6. heavy -> G6. They can't kill the scrambler for this case. This seems like it should be our default option.
2. scramble from H6. G6 runner -> kill medic from E3/E4. heavy -> G6. They can kill the scrambler, but in response we can take out all there units except the heavy and block the spawn from a turn (equivalent to killing a unit).

Either of these seem fine to me and gives us a nice advantage. There are probably other good variations.

BTW, Terence and I tried both of these. I think we are advantaged.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Me too. The scrambler acts as bait. They have to commit everything to kill it and then we can kill all but their heavy in response.

A risk we run if we kill their medic is that they simply scramble the runner and protect they scrambler with their heavy. I think that would be their best response. But, i'm guessing they would more likely want to kill our scrambler.

I don't know which option is best now...
