RE: Turn 23
I assume they moved a scrambler from D3 to F1 since they put a soldier barricade in front.

RE: Turn 23
Ah yes those 2 extra hidden soldiers changes everything

Hmm, we might also want to consider a defensive option. Backing off might not be bad by pulling back heavy so we can get our 2nd scrambler in play too..

3) 4 hp Soldier on F2 move to G2 and kill our soldier on G3 (1)
4) 2 hp runner on F1 move to G3 and hit our soldier on F4 (2)

7) 4 hp Soldier on D4 move to F2 (2)
8) Medic boost the Soldier on B5 (1)
9) 4 hp Soldier on B5 move to D4 (1)

-3 hidden units,
3 hp Soldier on G1
4 hp Soldier on F2
1 hp sniper on C4 if they didn't move away.

-1 outstanding unit
- 21 outstanding wits

I guess they have a 3 hp Soldier (another outstanding unit) on D3 even though I cannot see D3 in the

We should count #2 as 5 wits since we didn't know about that soldier. Also, I counted 24 outstanding wits last turn. With the above turn, that would leave 14 outstanding wits. Assuming a boosted scrambler on F1 (10), they have at most 4 banked wits (10 next turn). I think this is what we should assume while planning our turn.

Terence, can you update the original post with accurate unit/wit details so they aren't missed? Also, you might include the guesstimate that a scrambler is on F1.

RE: Turn 23
How did you come up with 21? I get 14:

Outstanding wits from turn 21: 24 (turn 19 was 22; +6 new; -4 saw boosted soldier in turn 21)
New wits: 6
Wits used/shown this turn: 16 (counted spawned/boosted soldier attack as 5, not 2)

Outstanding wits for turn 23: 24+6-16 = 14
Outstanding units: 1

Assuming a boosted scrambler is on F1, this becomes 4 banked wits and no remaining units. This makes it unlikely that they would spawn another scrambler since they only have 10 wits.

RE: Turn 23
Bit confused can they have a scrambler on both F1 and D3?
Either way my answer is:
I can't think of an effective way to attack. I say we defend, all it would require is putting out heavy in a safe position and making a new unit.

New unit imo should be a runner at e7 to see what they have at d3.
However the sniper will be a problem in the future.
Also we should consider if it would be helpful to move scrambler h6-g6.

RE: Turn 23
They only have one unit that we don't know about. I think a scrambler on F1 is the most likely.

I don't see a way to attack with the scrambler without our scrambler getting scrambled. We could still investigate this path by finding a way counter scramble the scrambles after that, but I doubt there is a good solution. The medic might be used as a shield.

A limited attack without the scrambler might work, but it seems like it would be a bad trade for us.

Defense seems like the default coarse of action unless somebody finds a clever attack plan.

Thanks for the update and clarification, Terence.

RE: Turn 23
With a scrambler at F1, here is what things look like (used harti's map creator):

(Top right soldier is 3hp, others are 4hp)

What do you guys think about this crazy attack (uses all 9 wits):

(Bonus wit soldier is the scrambled one - 1hp)

Assuming 9 wits for them on turn 24, I think we will lose at most everything but 2 of our attacking units. To do this, they will expose their scrambler to us. I think we will be able to scramble both of their scramblers in response.

Poke holes in the above! This is clearly a crazy attack and needs to be vetted.

RE: Turn 23
@Thrutchy: I got 21 wits outstanding because I counted the 4 HP soldier on C4 is hidden units, not outstanding unit, so it was (24-3), which is 21 wits outstanding. Both of us were correct, please see the two assumptions in post 1. If there have a boosted scrambler on F1, they will have 10 wits next turn which is same as yours.

I like your crazy attack. However, I found that we could be in bad situation if they respond (don't think they can without the clear picture) as below:

1) Sniper on C4 and Soldier on D4 kill our heavy (1)
2) Move Medic on B4 to D3 (1)
3) Move Sniper on C4 to B4 (1)
4) Spawn a runner, move to G1 and kill our 1hp Soldier (2)
5) Move Scrambler on F1 to G2 and convert our Scrambler on H2 (1)
6) Converted Scrambler on H2 convert our Soldier on H1 (0)
7) Move the converted Soldier on H1 to E3 and hit our soldier on F3 (2)
8) Soldier on F2 kill our soldier on F3 (0)
9) Move Soldier on F2 to I2 (1)

I got headache....I don't know my suggestion below will work or not, no matter they have Scrambler on F1 or not...

1) Scrambler on H4 move to H2, convert the their Soldier on G2 (1)
2) converted Soldier on G2 kill the 2 hp runner on G3 (0)
3) move the Soldier on F6 to F4 and hit their Soldier on F3 (2)
4) move the Soldier on I3 to G3 and kill their Soldier on F3 (1)
5) move the converted Solider on G2 to I2 (1)
6) move the Medic on J4 to I3, then heal the converted Soldier on I2 (2)
7) move the 2 hp Scrambler on H6 to H4 (1)
banked 1 wit
