New Teams/Character Ideas

RE: New Teams/Character Ideas
Hmm... A lot of people seem to like the parasite idea but I have an alternative... I've been thinking about this since I thought up the insect unit....
>Switch the roles of the Queen Bee and Mosquito
Now from here I have two DIFFERENT suggestions for her special...
#1 Hive Swarm
Movement-3
Health-4
Attack-2 Attack damages every unit in the hexagons around it... It obviously doesn't hurt friendlies.
Explaination of Stats-Now I know the movement and health sound crazy but think... Her attack can alone only kill scouts, medics, snipers, Mobile Bombshell, and Mobi. In all actuallity all of these units are behind enemy lines... Scouts of course are the exception and Mobi is too kinda... But there is usually something strong accompanying it... Anyways to be worthy the unit needs high health because it is diving into enemy territory and only kills the weaker enemies making it rather vulnerable to tougher attacks...
#2 Sticky Situation
Movement-2
Health-3
Attack-No Damage, range is 2 spaces and stops the enemy unit for their next turn
Explanation of Stats- Not much to explain, this unit could come in handy if you have a heavy or multiple scouts wailing your base and just need a little more time! Smile

I don't know... I like the parasite idea but to me it sounds too much like Feedback's special... Turning the enemy against itself... I know it's NOT the same but I think it's too early to make special THAT similar... If you don't like my suggestions or just like the parasite better, say so and I'll shut up... I just like that these two ways the enemy doesn't have as much control, there is more strategy fit to Outwitters involved, and the power matches that of the other specials...

Thanks for reading my LOOOOOONG speil! Smile

RE: New Teams/Character Ideas
I like the hive swarm idea actually, but not thr sticky situation. Reason is, it's got less stats and immobilizes. Wouldn't a dead unit be better than a unit coated in honey? And it can only immobilize for 1 turn. I think to make it a bit stronger it could immobilize for 2 turns and have the same stats as #1

RE: New Teams/Character Ideas
I have another idea. How about another special where the unit place a trap on one hexagon. The trap cause the enemy to lose half the hp if buffed by a healer. Otherwise they get hit for 1 damage. The traps also stop the enemy mid movement. Traps cannot be placed adjacent to each other.

Glad you like it! Smile and the difference between the two is that if you imobilize you have the possibility to get stronger units like the tank/sniper to attack the unit rather than doing only two damage.... Wink

I dont like two, but I do like one. But reduce it to 2 health and increase by 1 speed. One unit that can take out multiple units but then takes multiple units to take it out? Seems harsh but then it needs a buff and speed would be perfect for a unit that can take out snipers and such.

How about health at 3?! Smile Because when it's buffed it'd be four which barely surpasses the attack of a sniper or heavy... I mean all they would need is a runner to finish it but it shouldn't be able to be killed in one hit if it's a rushing special unit... Tongue

RE: New Teams/Character Ideas
Maybe 3 health is good. I forgot about how easy it for a sniper to kill it with just 2+1 (medic boost).

RE: New Teams/Character Ideas
Another question: can it attack the base?

If it could, would the base take 2x the damage if unit was adjacent to 2 tiles of base? That would make the base take 4 damage....

RE: New Teams/Character Ideas
Lmao I'm glad everyone agrees! Smile
I am kinda sad though... I was looking forward to seeing this cute, fuzzy Medic Queen Bee and now it's like a big, burly Special Unit Queen Bee... Lmao! Big Grin

That's a good question and something to take into consideration especially for the smaller maps... ;(

I'm gonna say they can only attack the base once... I still want them to attack it (They are seven precious wits after all which are hard to achieve on smaller boards anyways) yet they can't be too overpowered... Tongue
