Riddles!
You could probably find answers all over the internet, but whatever. This is for fun. =]

A mixed-gender group of individuals ride on a bus to town. During the trip, no one leaves or gets off the bus. But, by the end of the trip, there is not a single person left on the bus. How is this possible?

Got an answer? Got a riddle? Go on ahead, post it!

RE: Riddles!
Yeah, I was thinking that they must all be married and therefore not single.

I like this brain teaser:

Suppose there is a room with a single light bulb in it. Outside the room there are four light switches, and you know that one of those switches turns the light on and off, but you don't know which one. You can't see inside the room from where the switches are, nor can you see the light change when you switch them. You would have to leave the switches and actually enter the room to see if the bulb is on or off. You don't have any string to tie to the switches to control them from afar, and your hand-eye coordination is terrible, so don't even think about trying to throw stuff at the switches to control them while you are at the door.

How can you determine which switch controls the bulb after entering the room only a single time?

RE: Riddles!
I know this riddle and the solution, but it only works with three light switches...

Turn on switch A, leave it on for a couple of minutes, turn switch A off and switch B on, and immediately rush inside the room. If the light is on, it must be switch B. If the light is off, you touch the light bulb. If it's hot, it must be switch A, because the light gives off heat when on. If the light is cold, it must be switch C, because it hasn't been on.

But I don't have a friggen clue how that's gonna work with four switches.

RE: Riddles!
maybe turn them all on one at a time with a min of interval and when you enter the room, guess which one it was by the hotness of the bulb?

RE: Riddles!
Gf!sh got the three switch version right, and the four switch version is similar to it.

Hint: How many combinations of hot, cold, on, and off are there?
