RE: 7DRL Challenge 2013
I have not played Angband. Honestly, I haven't played many roguelikes, but I think they are fun.

By the way, there is a video review (in two parts because he didn't read the instructions before doing the first one) of my game:

Does the game take place in a forest?

I hear there's a secret Mobi hidden here somewhere…

RE: 7DRL Challenge 2013
FYI, your game runs in Crossover (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/) using a WinXP bottle. I'm headed out now, but I'll play it later!

Would you be willing to post / email your source code? I'd love to take a look, but understand if you'd feel uncomfortable doing that. Let me know!

RE: 7DRL Challenge 2013
The game takes place mostly in ruined towns, but there are some levels that are out in the rocky wilderness, which mostly means there are no houses in those levels.

Yeah, I can do that. I was toying with the idea of putting the source up anyway. I'm out of town now. I'll do it sometime after I get home.

I used a couple of third party libraries, so I'll have to double check the distribution licenses on those.

Source code is available (see first post). I don't claim that this is well written code or that you should learn something from it. I wrote it in about five days, so much of it is rushed and not exactly ideal.

RE: 7DRL Challenge 2013
Was somebody reading this thread recently? I got a hit on my website from this URL. Smile

7DRL Challenge 2014 is coming up, and I am thinking about participating again. I think there are some others 'round these parts who have expressed interest in making roguelikes. Anyone else planning on trying their hand this year?
