I was getting outplayed all game but I won due to some poor placement by my opp. Any tips please?

I would not to be so aggressive with the runners. In the early game the runners' job is to be fairly close to you base and provide vision for you. On turn 3 you move up with both runners and the opponent can easily kill them.

You also need to defend you snipers as they are so costly to create. On turn 5 and 11 you moved out with them and lost them the next turn to runners. Either boost them with a medic or put other units in front of them so the opponent have to spend a lot of wits to kill them.

Foundry, just a bit of advice please,

* On turn 4 you can block his top runner with your runner or soldier, what are the advantages/disadvantages to each?

* Also on turn 4. His bottom runner is threatening yours. It is important to have vision of the backdoor on this map so you should have a really good reason to move your runner. The problem with what happened is that you started a runner exchange where you needed two moves to get to him but he only needed one move to get there. On turn 6 the position is similar but he has killed your runner b/c of the exchange. Can you find a better move than moving the bottom runner?

* Notice the subtle difference between turn 4 and 8 on the top half of the map. On turn 8 he has to move two times to attack with runners, while you only needs to move once. So any runner exchange here is great for you.

Soldier spam FTW
