Second turn things I like to do following the opening you used on this map:

1. Spawn a runner, boost if you want to keep it around, don't if you want to them to kill it with their runner, and move it to the hex below your heavy.

2. Spawn a soldier, boost it, move it to the hex between the wood posts.


If you chose to spawn a runner you would have seen their boosted runner center field and probably wouldn't move it to your heavy, but did something else to react to your new knowledge.

Either way you were probably going to lose your sniper. No biggy, doesn't mean you lose the game.
