I think it would be interesting where you can only kill units with snipers but can hit the base with anything. Sniper to the base is already something you go for in normal games so its not that different. Making it so that you can only kill units with snipers would be very different though! Also this has the same flavor as the scrambler tournament. Any unit can hit the base, but you can only "kill" units with scramblers.
