Do we have any melee players in the house?
Hi friends - I got to thinking about the great competitive community that existed for Super Smash Bros Melee, and I wondered how many of us Outwitters players were also SSBM players!

Lets have a poll, shall we?

I did play SSBB (a lot). Does that count too?

I, uh... I play Balanced Brawl.

Melee is alright, but I'm not really into twitch-twitch reflex/execution-focused fighting games that don't give me a chance to think about what's going on.

Brawl had a pace I was comfortable with, but was horrendously unbalanced (and tripping) even moreso than melee was notorious for.

So I play the BBrawl mod, where anyone can win~

"How'd you fix it?"
"I just employed a blunt-impact mechanical stress routine."
"What?"
"I kicked it."

I only played vs CPU's, don't enjoy playing fighting games vs other players. Loved it though!

I'm currently taking a competative break. Am up for friendlies and tournaments!

Haha I saw this and was like WAT - but then saw it was my brother who started the thread. Smile

Rawkhawk and I are super-titan skill level for SSBM.

Also - FYI - SSBM > SSBB. There is no question.

...OK, maybe you have to add the caveat that SSBM is more technical and therefore less accessible than SSBB. But that just means that there is greater depth in SSBM.

It'll be GG when you're up against GG of GG.

Played both, love both, terrible at M, decent at B but not competitive good. I used to think I was good at melee till I played someone who actually is good at the game, can't remember being schooled worse in anything ever.

Cool. Good to see my hunch wasn't completely off the mark. I actually haven't tried balanced brawl, but I hear really good things. Was anyone here in the SSBM tourny scene?

I played both. Both awesome. Melee a long time ago and was pretty good. I'm a beast at brawl though. Kirby haha

My favorites are Pikachu and Meta Knight. I used to play only Pika, but I got bored of down-B spamming...

Does any of you have any decent skills with Yoshi?
