Demoted for winning?

Demoted for winning?
I won a game today and was promoted from Clever to Gifted. Then I won my next game and was demoted from Gifted to Clever.
Is this right? Seems I shouldn’t be demoted for winning. Maybe because of the way I won? In the last turn, I could attack the base to zero, or I could keep possession of the only opponent spawn point and destroy his last two units. I chose to win by possessing spawns and destroying all units. Maybe that was the clever way to win and not the gifted way?

RE: Demoted for winning?
The way you won doesn't matter. All that really matters is the strength of the opponent you faced! I'm not sure why you're shuffling leagues like that, but it could be because the new Season just started and the game is figuring out the placements.

"I just employed a blunt-impact mechanical stress routine."
"What?"
"I kicked it."

RE: Demoted for winning?
Yup - this happened to me the day before they finished the league.

My guess is the algorithm now takes a range of games into account and is shuffling divisions and leagues more freely than in the past.

You only find out about a shuffle when you win or lose a game - but that one win or loss might not be related to why the move happened (but will presumably be used for the next move you make).

I'm all for a little more movement in the leagues - even if we don't really know how - in some time, we all should get a better feeling of if it makes the game more fun.

Fun is we feel our place is a result of our play. Fun is we get good matches and not too many wins or too many losses.

RE: Demoted for winning?
Yep definitely it is not the last game causing a promotion or demotion. I was promoted directly after loosing a game twice.

Same here, 7-0 in season 2 and 5 league points.....

OML has acknowledged the issue so I'm not getting too fussed about it...

If I were mad I would have started my own thread. Computers are my business and updates that make things worse, well, just shouldn't happen. Why doesn't this game make big $$$$$ ? Probably because of things like this.
