If I had not just purchased all the team packs (specifically for the maps to compete in this tournament) I would definitely feel like I could manage 7 tournament games with a 5 game limit.

The other thing you could do is combine the two ideas. Have three games playing at once, given a time limit of 2 weeks. This will give players w/ a 5 game limit the ability to play 2 other games.
