The best way to tell if you're getting close is by looking at the ranks of your opponents. If you are being matched up against many Master players and are able to beat them, you are nearing promotion. If you are still playing all Gifted players, you aren't near promotion. If you are playing Clever players, don't lose to them or you may be demoted!
