I was in fluffy rank 1 for a while and then the update changed the scoring system a little and i got promoted shortly after. I lost about half my points which left me at around 200 points. Then in a week i win streaked my way from the 40s to 20-15s and i got promoted. My promotion game was a loss but i got ranked higher than my opponent with around 100 points.

I'd say skyrocketing up the leaderboards with 5-8 wins straight should get you promoted
I hear there's a secret Mobi hidden here somewhere…
