Let's have some fun! Tournament
First of all, many thanks to Doodat for all these awesome game ideas. The original thread is at http://www.onemanleft.com/forums/showthr...p?tid=2393
This is a tournament where all the games are played with silly rules (see below). The tournament is in a round robin format. Each player plays every other player twice, once as P1, once as P2, but not necessarily the same game mode. Each player plays every game mode twice, as P1 and P2, but possibly with different opponents. The number of rounds will be one less than the number of players who sign up. The top 4 (or 8, depending on interest) players (by number of games won) will advance to Round 2. There will be a special tiebreaker round in case of a tie. From then on, the tournament will be single elimination. You must have all Gen I maps to participate. If there are enough signups, I might split into divisions randomly. Rules: Sign up with your GameCenter ID. 2-day turn limit It is the winner's responsibility to post replays. If both players claim a win, neither will get points. Any race, map will be predetermined. If it says "any," P1 chooses map. Sign-ups: DIVISION A 1. -+{nomyaz05}+- 1-1 2. Hifimatlock 3. awpertunity 7-1 4. --zlove18-- 5. stewson5 3-0 6. NDRDOG 0-1 7. SadlyAddicted 8. SexyHecty 0-2 9. Tucker_Max11 9. luis.casas 10. pytosz 2-0 Full standings and a record of all matches: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aYuT...sp=sharing Round 1: Mr. Fluffles M.D. on any 1-spawn map- Only take three actions per turn: Spawning, moving, attacking, teleporting, scrambling, shelling, unshelling, rooting, uprooting, and growing a thorn patch are all one action. Boosting counts as an action. Healing a hurt unit does NOT count as an action. Round 2: One Man Left on Sweetie Plains OR Long Nine - You can only spawn with one or less men left. Thorns count as units. Making a thorn is NOT a spawn. Neither is scrambling. Round 3: It's Poisonous on Reaper OR Sharkfood Island - Units can not be placed on the brown hexes in the middle (or top for SFI) Round 4: Rotating Spawns on any 2-spawn map - Spawn runner, then soldier, then medic, then sniper, then heavy, then special and repeat. Round 5: No armies on Foundry OR Long Nine - No soldier spawns Round 6: Two units on any map - Both players pick two non-special units and they can only spawn, move, attack, and heal with those types of units. Round 7: Snipers only on Round 8: Heavy is King on Sharkfood Island - No heavy or soldier spawns. Win by killing opponent's heavy. Can't heal heavy. Cannot attack base. Round 9: Shark Feeding Frenzy on Sharkfood Island - Every other spawn is a heavy. Must be Scallywags. Round 10 (Divisions A and B only): One is the charm on any map: Maximum of one spawn of each unit. ALL GAMES TO BE STARTED BY FEBRUARY 1 In round number n, player number x is P1 against player number x+n. If x+n is more than the number of players in your division, then subtract the number of players in your division. Note that this means that everyone will play 2 matches per round. For example, suppose savvy.joe wants to know who he is playing round 7. Since savvy.joe is #10 in Division A, he is playing player number 10+7=17. But 17 is more than 11, the number of players in Division A, so he subtracts 11 to get 17-11=6. Therefore, savvy.joe is playing player number 6 in Division A, who is S n o m a n. If you have an idea for a game, please post it here, I may add it. ANOTHER NOTE: Some modes favor certain races more so PICK CAREFULLY! (Hint: Usually Feedback is the best choice) |
