Always easier in hind sight... but I'm not sure spawning the Bombshell was the way to go - when you see him bring out the bramble on turn 4 you have a unit advantage near the top and putting some pressure on at this point may have been the best option.

So in Turn 5 I feel like you could have spawned another soldier at the top and move it next to the first one as well as moving the soldier from the wit space 3 spaces towards his base rather than moving/healing the heavy.
