But what you gain from this change, I think, outweighs that cost; namely the added inclusiveness and therefore legitimacy for this important tournament. Another option might be to analyse every replay from the first round of pools to extract the number of turns for every player, and use that data to inform seeding into a direct elimination bracket, therefore skipping the second round of pools altogether. But that might be crazy talk. It'll be GG when you're up against GG of GG. |
