even then I still have to wait until the British chess fed update players elo's (I think?). Thats why I've got a poor understanding of the system. I've played in many national tournaments when I was growing up up until 16 and although I was headhunted for my club now at the time I felt like I wasn't anywhere near the best players my age (and I wasn't) so I got frustrated and gave up. Really getting back into it now though
