What about the replays being unlisted so only people with the link can view it, like on youtube?

@TheGoldenGriffin,

That would be the outcome of the implementation I described above.

This would not be too hard to implement. But the main problem is that you are leaving it up to users to determine how it is viewed. What if someone accidentally forgot to use the "no save" version of the view method? It would then be visible to everyone at that point.

One way to implement it would be to have a new menu item on the "Save" button dropdown that says "Save as private". OSN would then register the replay as a private replay and it would not be visible on the public facing parts. Then if someone tries to view or save it the normal way, it would see that it is a private replay and would prevent it from being stored in the public area. This way, the only people that could get access to it are those who have the actual replay link. This would have to be done before the link is viewed on OSN at all. So the first person to submit a replay to OSN would be able to decide if it is public or private.

This sounds like an excellent implementation. So, this procedure should work?
* original player copies link from outwitters
* open up browser and go to osn site
* paste link, click or dropdown menu to "save as private"
* paste link normally in private forum and it would display like a normal graphical link showing players, races, and winner
* other members in the private forum can click on link to view the game normally
* the game would not be searchable or visible to others without the link

Here are a couple other thoughts:
* When the first poster is viewing a game normally, it also might be nice to have the option to mark as private at that point. Just in case they misclicked.
* Is it "fair" to allow the first poster to prevent the game from being published for its lifetime? One player may want to publish and the other player may want private. Public should win in that case, I think. Maybe you should allow anybody viewing a private game to publish it (with a confirmation, ideally). That would be similar to that person publishing the link in a public forum.

Since OSN does not have a user login system, it can't determine WHO is posting the replays to OSN. That is why I mentioned the person who first posts it because that would "usually" be one of the players in the replay. Unfortunately, it is not "fair" because of that. For example: I could force all my losses to be private so no one can see my embarrassing mistakes as long as I'm faster than my opponents with posting the replays to OSN. Allowing ANY user to move a private replay to the public view (even with a confirmation prompt) also doesn't sound fair.

Another implementation approach would be to have a separate "Create private link" option that would take the replay link and assign a unique private OSN link that you would give to other people. This link would be strictly a view only meaning that it won't save it to the OSN Database. Since the viewing users wouldn't have the original replay link, it would be much harder for it to be accidentally released to the public. This would not give the nicely formatted links for the forums but would solve Cor13:4's problem. This would satisfy the "fairness" problem because all the players in the replay would be free to post it as public if they wanted to since they would be separate viewing systems. And since the unique OSN link wouldn't be auto converted in the forum, it also wouldn't be auto posted to OSN either.

Hi CodePenguin, I recognised that the information in which league a player is hasn't updated for a few weeks now.... (at least for me)

@Random Task,

Did a new season start up? Looks like things haven't updated since August 11. That usually happens when a new season has started. I have to make modifications every time a new season starts because all the divisions get reset.

No new season CP

I wonder if it coincided with the server change?

This is the most likely culprit.

Yeah, the new season is overdue but we are still playing in the same season as all summer.
