But of course, I'm sure poweewee would also make adjustments for any second game!

I actually thought your BS (the first one, the one on the right side) was at an optimum space; one space lower and it would be vulnerable to a sniper. I was thinking maybe concentrate more on defending the right side, because that was the only side I was attacking. Smile

Yeah I need to have my wit space secured before attacking. With the bombshell I meant one tile down-right not down. I think its possible to defend decently, the advantage would be that I can kill any thorns next to my wit space.

I also wonder what had happened if I attacked left side earlier, but it was like I was a few wits short every turn...

Alvendor was fighting a losing battle when he lost control of his forward wit tile. Veggies are still useful to lock down remote/isolated wit tiles on maps like Thorn Gully or Acrospire, where the attacker can constantly and easily reinforce with snipers. But in general, the bramble is too weak. On maps where the wit tile is in a more defensible position, I don't see this type of tactic working.

IMO, Alvendor should have started attacking the center with force once he saw that the right side was getting out of hand. I did something similar in my game against blckace: http://osn.codepenguin.com/replays/view/ag5vdXR3aXR0ZXJzZ2FtZXIRCxIIR2FtZVJvb20Y4d2VAww

Very fast paced, both in terms of gameplay and the rate of our play (until the end, when we went at a more normal pace). Fun FvA on glitch. Feature maybe?

Great game by the way!! Fun to watch n learn!!

This was actually what I was counting on; that by harassing the wit space, I could somehow overwhelm you with my wit count later in the game (at the same time preventing attacks).

An exciting 3 game set I finished against Ispree:

I had the same thought. Looking at the replay, I think his concern was that I would be able to squat on his spawn and kill medic. But yeah that might have been the better use of his wits.

Keep in mind the bulk of this game was played blitz style, neither of us spending more than 30 seconds thinking about a move. Smile

Haha I haven't even watched the replay but I'm pretty sure I know exactly which move you're talking about. I definitely had a big hesitation of whether I should defend his attack or press on with mine, and as GG said in the spirit of the blitz game I just went without thinking lol

RE: Super-Titan Replay Discussion - Gavin Wins - 04-20-2013 12:29 AM

Yeah, tapping GG's base on turn 9 would've allowed you to win later in the game on turn 45.

Your quite funny. On peekabo you waited like 3 days for a turn then I didnt even watch replay, and instantly lost game. Not so exciting Smile and there are 3 more games to this series, which I won, dont forget to post them too Smile
See you on ladder or add me for friendlies
Cheers

RE: Super-Titan Replay Discussion - Mag!cGuy - 04-20-2013 05:18 AM

Yeah that replay on peekaboo was imo not a real battle! But the two other ones are cool and I'd like to see ispree's wins Smile
