I also find the same problem at the lower end of top 200. I always get matched with the same people, probably because they are the most active as well.

How active are the top 100 ranked 2v2 teams nowadays? My partner (Husky Pete) and I are currently ranked 92 and have been on a 14 game league win streak. This has only brought our ranking from about 130 to 92.

I would've thought that with a long win streak like that, we would've climbed higher quicker? Are most of the top teams no longer playing league, so that wins against lower competition result in hidden ranking climbing more slowly?

Um, I'm 8-0 or 9-0 with jesusfuentesh at 26th. I think winning your first 6-7 games is a huge boost. If you lose any you drop significantly.

If your team loses any placement matches better to quit team if you are aiming to the top ;-)
It is easy to get stuck around 100-200. But win and then win some more and you climb.
But 2v2 teams are not very skilled, there are very active 2v2r players that regularly get paired and do play enjoyable game!
Many top 2v2 teams play one match a time! And they pause for tournament finals and get dropped out from list, too. Then reappearing.
Top teams have record from season 1 onwards. Plenty of wins and very few lost matches. I believe that me and Akkete have single digit number at our lost bracket ;-)

Here is thread to enlighten what it takes to climb the ranks. Losing early hurts badly!

One thing we did was to play all 5 games at the same time instead of playing them one after the other. I'm thinking that didn't help placement since our initial games all were started with the same hidden ranking.

This is slipping out of topic, but by starting all placement matches at once like lawtai and many others do will hurt you seriously.

Alex, so did you end up implementing option 1? We started a lot of matches last week and it looks like it changed? Assuming so, thank you so much for this! We had gotten to the point where we were only getting matched against the same 1 or 2 teams every single time (we had like 10 matches in a row across several weeks all with the same team). In our new games, we got a great variety of matches against a great variety of teams, which has been loads of fun (see different strategies, play styles, etc.). Most of our new matches are against other Super Titans that we could have never gotten matched with before (seemed like we never got anyone outside of top 4 before and now getting entire top 20). Definitely like it to stay this way! Thanks!!

I think it did get updated? We got a match against you guys and were surprised by it. It's been a good game so far other than one mistake we made so far that really hurt.

And we are not top 20 lol

But it was exciting to get paired with a top team! (Until I choked lol)

It has been a very good game so far! Not everyone we got is top 20, but a good number are, and you guys look to be on the verge of ST as a team as well
