Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - ElPared - 04-04-2014 01:18 PM I've noticed a lot of spam threads are appearing lately, and I think the problem can be remedied by disallowing threads with URLs in their titles. most user created legit threads will not contain a URL in the title, but I've noticed most of the span threads to have an http:// or a .com in them. Just sayin, maybe it'll help. Not all of them have been like that, but the newest ones have. RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - .Memories. - 04-04-2014 01:24 PM Unfortunately, that's too prohibitive. I do think the spam has picked up, recently, though, which is disconcerting. RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - Extreme Ghost - 04-04-2014 02:42 PM Lol you can take it as a good sign means the forms are active enough to spam XD RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - Flarp55 - 04-04-2014 02:54 PM How about this: use a better captcha when registering. I've never seen anyone other than spambots start a thread with a URL in the title RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - .Memories. - 04-04-2014 03:23 PM (04-04-2014 03:18 PM)ElPared Wrote:(04-04-2014 01:24 PM).Memories. RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - QuantumApocalypse - 04-04-2014 06:43 PM Personally, I think the poppycock forum has a diverse range of keywords floating around that the bots happen to stumble upon RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - Dabestbro - 04-05-2014 06:29 AM Like auctions, Trojans, and Nike shoes costing 75000 dollars. Pretty weird keywords RE: Alex: Anti spam thread suggestion - TheGreatAnt - 04-05-2014 09:53 AM (04-04-2014 02:54 PM)Bbobb555 Wrote: How about this: use a better captcha when registering.
