RE: National Outwitters League [Started!] - [PETA] Doodat - 04-29-2014 03:35 PM

Hm I wonder how the tiebreaker will work for the final wild card spot.

That's a good question, you actually might have the tie breaker over xerozen. I'll look into it after the games are finalized.

I have two forfeit wins and the last ongoing game against frozennorthernkid but at the rate he plays it will be another month or two.

Just like to say that there are 4 9-7 teams.

You're absolutely right...I was just looking at Doodats division... xerozen has a better conference record but Doodat has a better division record...not sure how that plays out between them...and also how it plays out with the other two 9-7 teams. I'll look at the rules and see how it's decided.

Wildcard division tie break rules:

1. Apply division tie break to eliminate all but highest ranked in each division.
2. Head to head sweep ( only if. 1 club deaf rated all others or if 1 lost to all others)
3. Best in conference record
4. Best common games record minimum 4
5. strength of victory
6. Strength of schedule

Hopefully that's enough? But it goes further.

Division tie break is:

1 Head to head
2 Division record
3 common games record
4 conference record

So step 1 would be tiebreak between xeroxen and Doodat. Then you would figure the tie break between the 3 remaining.

Well since Doodat and Xerozen split their games it comes down to the division record and Doodat has the better record.

Then for the remaining 9-7 teams (Jchris, Doodat, Yukfuj) it will come down to Strength of Victory which I'll figure out later. Basically it's a combination of the records of all the opponents they defeated. Whoever has the highest percentage gets the spot.

Looks that way...but there are a couple teams in the NFC South who could potentially get a 10-6 record, although I don't know how likely that is.
