I think you only need 8 rounds, since there are 9 players (which includes you), so you need 1 round per other player.

Right, so for the 9 players, each player would play the other 8 players once, so each player would play 8 times.

Yes but, I don't get it. For example where it says Round 9 it is The map of Round 8 for some players?
I think Magic forgot the map for round 9

Just to clarify, you're posting referring to the 9 rounds on Challonge: each person plays 8 matches and has one bye round.

I guess. He said it was because a lot of people were asking about Foundry in coaching - that it's a challenging map that gifted and masters usually have a tough time with.
