RE: 1st Good Game Clan Tournament (iPro takes the lead) [Updated 12/12/13] - amoffett11 - 12-23-2013 08:18 AM

Hi everyone,

Awpertunity and I were discussing this in our meeting game, but maybe we want to consider making this a tourney-wide thing: relaxing the turn limits during the Christmas holidays and through the new year. I just don't want anyone feeling like they need to rush off to take a turn during a New Years party or Christmas morning or something.

Obviously the auto-forfeit limit still applies (5 days or whatever it seems to be these days), but apart from that we could consider relaxing the 3 day thing.

At least in the Diamond-IPro battle, this will be happening, but I thought it would be a good idea for the rest of the ongoing meeting battles, until the second week of January or so.

Thoughts?

Unless there is a new rule, the time limit is already 4 days, right?

I think what is meant is that "4 days ago" would be allowed to appear in the game queue.

That's fine with me. The post above seem to suggest that the current rule penalizes at 3 day and forfeits at 5 days. I'm OK with relaxing the penalty rule over the holidays. Our clans are just agreeing not to report each other for this rule violation.

I think it is also reasonable for a game host to ask the opposing clan for an extension when the host knows they are traveling and will have limited access for several days.

To summarize, what I'm saying is that other than an auto-forfeit (the game timing out), I'm not going to report any late turns, at least in the IPro game, for the next couple of weeks approximately. If the other clan leaders agree to the same, then that will go for them as well in our meeting games against them, if they wish

Not sure if jesusfuentesh is even checking this anymore, but Good Game clan has hit 4 days twice against us in our meeting match. (Game against Fruit Slicing Master) So this should be a win for us.
