Me and mastercaster invented a new rush on the old map. We named it "Burnocaster" after the names of two great 2v2 players! Big Grin

A game lasts only 8-10 turns. And nobody managed to find a way to stand the rush yet:

Just notice that already at the end of turn2 of P1 (turn5 of the game) all our units are concentrated in the area at the opponents' base.
The sniper which they can't see (and absolutely don't expect to be there) is ready to kill the soldier that usually covers the base.

We figured out some ways to prevent Burnocaster but they are hard and risky. You don't know whether your opponents are making this rush or not, you can't see. You have to do particular opening moves just in case of Burnocaster. And if there's no rush, additionaly to disadvantage of the Second Turn you are having your units in a bad position which means that you have lost the game Smile

It is possible to exploit the rush opening multiple games as P1 and cancelling all maps except Machination. If no anti-Burnocaster method will be found then the map can be fixed by replacing or removing the predeployed sniper. Actually, all maps with a predeployed sniper are favourable for mobi.

Interesting...congrats on finding this.

One nice thing maybe is that this requires adorables to take first turn, and many 2v2 opening strategies have scallywags taking first turn. So due to the random nature of 2v2 map assignment, hopefully this won't be abused much.

Who goes first is not random, whoever starts the game goes first among the 2 players

I know that, but map assignment is random. Also, sidebar, starting position is random, so p1 is not always in the same position. However I'm not sure that matters for burnocaster.

P1 is always blue, P2 is always red, P3 is always green, and P4 is always yellow. I use it my advantage if i can, like in the 2v2 scrambler tournament. That rush i created is unstoppable
