I would assume so, it seems that there are no other ways to discern between p1 and p2

It looks like Player One will choose a map, as per the first post. So if you're P1 (top player in the link to Challonge), just start a game against the person below you on whatever map you want. Probably best to state "This is for the Simple Tourney" or something like that in chat.

Probably one of the new 2v2 maps that I've never played.
