Seems I got my first against a master! A master who seemingly doesn't like to lose since he didn't play back until the game timed out! If he does that each time, he must have his list full of awaiting games.

With bobolynx we have yet to beging our 6th match, but algorithm put us as 119th on 2v2 arranged.

I've said this elsewhere, but I wish you could reset your ranks (2v2 mostly, but 1v1 also). My partner and I have a very positive win percentage (>85%), but because of a loss right out of placement, we have been stuck in Gifted and never been included in the Top 200 rankings.

I agree. A reset option, knowing what I know now, would be useful. Although it is a tad annoying not to make quick progress at least you get to know each others playing styles before being matched up with the big guns. The same thing happened to me and my partner.
From the placement game results posted so far your initial hidden ranking score roughly goes as follows;
Win 0 = bottom of
Win 1 = bottom of
Win 2 = no data
win 3 = top of
(only 1 team's data in arranged 2v2)win 4 = bottom of
/ bottom of 
win 5 = top of
A little bit random but something nonetheless.
I was going to say "hang in there" with regards to promotion but I just looked on OSN and it seems you're now in Masters! Congrats. Are your OSN records complete? If so I'll add them

Thanks! They are not 100% - I didn't start adding them until a few games in.. If you want a rough estimate, I'd say we won 5 placements (into Gifted), won 1 to get to Masters, then lost 1 to go to Gifted, then probably went 15-2 before starting to post to OSN. So overall 45 - 5 -ish sounds about right. That damn loss right out of placement screwed us over though!
