There was a data migration so the prefix IDs changed
This thread has directions to correct replay links to view them

Epic comeback on Glitch, featuring three BS vs one scrambler. Scrambler wins eventually (61 turns later). Opponent probably should have been hitting my troops more often with his BSs.. not sure why he never seemed to, but it allowed me to get my feet back under me and take this one when I realistically should not have had the chance.

Huh.. well, actually i did NOT know that. But knowing that, I would submit that scrambling thorns is probably not a very effective use of a scrambler. Smile

It is actually an extremely effective use of the scrambler, it puts you basically ahead up a special by matching their bramble with your own "bramble" while still having the use of scramblers.

Here's a replay showing a (barely) survived rush and comeback to win.

If they are old replays, they don't work because they changed something with the URL of the replays (or something like that). If you want to look at some high level replays go to the outwitters sports network. They let you view it in your browser.

Looking for another critique. How would some of you better players have responded when you saw the BS? My response won me the match, but barely.

Thanks!

Turn 3: you should know he spawned a BS. Prepare to attack.
Turn 5: kill runner with runner where your runner died. This gives you vision. Kill the blue soldier with your two soldiers and then move the heavy forward. You should be smooth then.

Here's one other option: I like to spawn block whenever possible, esp when the distraction it causes is to divert one of a very few number of troops to go unblock it. In this case, if you had done so on Turn 9 instead of killing his medic and killed his bottom most soldier, he had nothing that could get to your runner at all. May have speeded up things a bit. He likely would've had to unshell his BS and move it to get you off his spawning hex, or try to move it up and win it as quickly as he could. I see you played this card later in the game anyway.. nicely played.

Not sure why your opponent didn't shell his BS on Turn 28 since he had 4 wits left... would've had a different outcome for sure as he would've been able to kill your spawn blocking soldier on his next turn, spawn his own, and kill your scrambler. Mystified.. he saw it all coming which is why he moved the BS to begin with. ??

Yes, you should have done that turn nine^^.
Your opponent should have won, he kept moving back and forth, he could have just shelled his bs at top hex and hit your base from there.

Thanks again for the responses and advice. Very insightful! That was a good handling of the scrambler, Erik. Thanks for sharing.
